Are there any membership contracts?
We offer a variety of membership options, including a Cancel Anytime membership, as well as 6-month and 12-month contracts. The longer the contract, the greater the discount you'll receive on your membership. We can help you choose the best option during your consultation.
What is the cost of membership?

Is there a registration fee?
Yes, we do have a one-time registration fee for new members. This fee helps cover administrative costs and ensures that we can provide you with the best experience from day one. The exact amount will be discussed during your initial consultation when we go over membership options.
Do you have military, first responder, or educator discounts ?
Yes, we proudly offer discounts for military personnel, first responders, and educators as a way to show our appreciation for your service to the community. Are there family discounts?
At Iron Trinity we love when families train together. Yes, we do offer a family discount. Our family discount is designed to support families with four or more members all living in the same household.
We do sell our own team Gi, rash guards, and apparel. At registration you will have an opportunity to purchase all gear at a discounted price. If you already have your own Gi or gear, then you are welcome to use it, as long as it meets our uniform standards. All uniforms and gear must be clean, free of rips/tares, and may not include patches from teams or affliations not associated with Iron Trinity.
Does my membership include everything?
If you have an unlimited membership, you'll have access to all appropriate Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes (e.g., no men in women’s-only classes and no adults in kids’ classes) as well as all other programs. We also offer specialized memberships that provide access to specific programs, such as striking, yoga, or women's only only. During your consultation, we can help you choose the best membership option based on your interests
How can I pay for my membership?
All memberships are paid through an automatic charge to your credit card for convenience. The membership prices already include processing fees and taxes, so there are no hidden costs. Simply set up your payment method during registration, and you're all set!
What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on using leverage and technique to control and submit an opponent, making it effective for people of all sizes. BJJ emphasizes ground fighting, where practitioners use techniques such as joint locks and chokeholds to neutralize their opponents. It's known for its practical self-defense applications, as well as being a great way to improve fitness, discipline, and mental toughness.
How do I sign up for classes?
To get started, you can schedule a consultation or drop by for a free trial class. This gives us a chance to meet, discuss membership options, and help you choose the best program for your goals. We’ll guide you through the signup process after your trial.
Can I watch a class before joining?
Absolutely! You're always welcome to observe a class from our seating areas to get a feel for the environment and instruction. If you'd like to experience the training firsthand, we can schedule a trial class for you to get on the mats.

What should I wear to my first class?
If you have your own gi and equipment, feel free to bring them, as long as they’re clean and free of rips, tears, or odors. If you don’t have any gear yet, no problem! We have equipment available for you to borrow for your first class. All students should also bring gym attire designed for movement, such as moisture-wicking shirts and shorts or leggings. Just come ready to learn and have fun!
Are there any other uniform requirements?
Yes, all students, regardless of age or gender, are required to wear a rash guard or fitted shirt under their gi during classes. This helps with hygiene and ensures a comfortable training experience. For no-gi classes, students should wear a rash guard and appropriate athletic shorts or leggings without zippers or pockets.
What Does the Studio Offer
What age groups do you teach?
We offer classes for kids, teens, and adults. Our children's program starts as young as 6 years old, and we welcome adults of all ages to join our training sessions. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to advance your skills, we have a place for you!
What is the class schedule?
We offer classes Monday through Saturday at various times, including early mornings, lunch, and evening sessions, to accommodate different schedules. For specific class times and options, please check our class schedule page for all the details!
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, we do offer private lessons at the discretion of each instructor. Many of our instructors are available for private sessions, which can be scheduled at times when regular classes are not in session. If you’re interested, please speak with your instructor to arrange a lesson that fits your needs.
Do you offer no-gi classes?

Is this a competition gym?
While we encourage and support competition, it is not a requirement for our members. We believe that competition is a personal choice, and there are many paths to growth and improvement in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, whether or not you choose to compete. Our goal is to help you develop at your own pace and in a way that aligns with your goals.
What do the striking classes entail? Is it Muay Thai?
Our striking classes incorporate a variety of techniques and styles, drawing on the diverse backgrounds of our instructors. While some elements may include aspects of Muay Thai, the classes are not limited to a single striking discipline. This approach allows for a well-rounded training experience, enabling you to learn and adapt various striking techniques.
What should I do if I feel nervous about starting?

Do I need any experience to start training?

Do I need to be in shape before starting BJJ?

Can I train if I have injuries or physical limitations?
Yes, many of our students train with chronic injuries, including issues with backs, knees, and other joints. However, your medical doctor should be the ultimate authority on whether you’re able to train safely. If cleared by your doctor, our instructors can help modify techniques and make accommodations to fit your needs, ensuring a safe and supportive training experience.
How long does it take to get a black belt?
The journey to earning a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is personal and varies for each individual. Our studio adheres to the guidelines set forth by the IBJJF regarding the minimum time required at each belt level.
